City Sculpture 
– Folding the city –

The extracted shape of the city, taken from aerial photographs, is made into a flat object using PVC plates. These are then divided into smaller pieces and re-connected via hinges, rotating parts, or bellows to create a “moveable device” for exploring the shape. I am contemplating (ideal shapes) while playing with this toy.

街のかたちからつくる– 街をたたむ –

　航空写真から抽出した街のかたちをPVC板で平面のオブジェクトにし、パーツに分け、蝶番や回転部品、ジャバラなどを取り付けて接続し、形を探るための「可動装置」をつくります。この玩具を手に思索の時間を過ごしています。
